James Caley is a multi-disciplinary artist from London. He is the author of two poetry books; 2016’s citybeating and 2018’s Poem Brut work, 4 steps from the wire.
Following the publishing of the latter, James taught himself how to paint, to better express the images and ideas he wanted to, and to capture the likenesses of people in a way that he believes the camera cannot.
His original work is rooted in surrealism, inspired by classic science fiction and the Beat movement.
